Many shapes and sizes

Short term planning comes in many shapes and sizes. It basically forms the layer under the medium term planning, which revolves around appointing labour to employees or vice versa. This may be in the form of assigned dossiers with cases, scheduling employees to workflows or planning appointments in the agendas of employees. The appointed work is often already known. It is present in the form of workload or work in progress. When this is not the case, the short term supply forecast plays an important role. A good example of this is the short term planning in Customer Contact Centres.

Types of Short Term Planning

Anago supports various types of short term planning. The unique feature of the Anago platform is that the software is able to anticipate on specific requirements and wishes of every organisation. Below are some examples of how the planning can be arranged.

Assigned dossiers per emloyee

The planning can be supported by (automatic) work division in which the labour is presented in assigned dossiers. The assigned dossiers can be sorted and filtered on for example delivery date, process, organisation and customer.

Composing weekly schedules

Projects and standard activities are planned in time by appointing employees with the right skills and availability. Of each employee it is known to which activities the employee is appointed.

Planning appointments

Some organisations have the need for a detailed planning on the appointment level. The Anago planning accounts for factors such as availability and knowledge but also with, for example, travel time.

Vision on short term planning

The short term planning is arranged in various ways. Sometimes a simple planning per employee per activity on a week level is sufficient and sometimes it is necessary to plan specifically per case/appointment. We believe in smart solutions which are able to support all these situations.

No unnecessary complex solutions

The planning is not executed by a central planner which is educated for a specific tool only. The planning is often a collaboration between a planner, team leaders, heads of departments and even employees. Anago supports all these users with exactly the right functionalities. No complex environments but an environment that looks and feels like a spreadsheet.
